Lost and Found Birmingham.

Last year saw the opening of  a new bar in Birmingham city centre with a Victorian twist and the apparent them of 'lost & found'.

Now into the new year the 'Lost & Found' is finding its feet and fast become a great quirky place to eat and drink.  With teacup cocktails and jam jar drinks who would't want a little eclectic eccentricity in their after work hours!

As part of the design team for this site, it was great to see this months of hard work come together and people enjoying the space.

Snow Day

Although I'm now well on the road to wishing the Summer sun to come along, i have really enjoyed spending the weekends walking the dog and playing in the snow. Good company, thermals and a strategically placed pub has helped along the way but snow days really can be all they are cracked up to be!

Daughter

Music in unusual places was the theme last month, when I went to see Daughter, whilst Trinity Church on Boar Lane Leeds is used the echos of Hymns tonight it was host to a live performance from Elena and Co the London trio better known as Daughter.

Amazing acoustic and Performance all round and a Happy Birthday to Elena who for our benefit kindly performed on the Evening of her birthday.

Preview Night.

Another great opening night spent at the Hepworth Wakefield. Always a popular with locals and alike tonights Preview night did not disappoint.

A personal favourite for the Night were Linder's light installations, Linder (born 1954, Liverpool, UK) has been working with the principles of collage for over three decades: from her two-dimensional work on the late 1970s iconic Buzzcocks posters and record sleeves, to more recent collages presented in light-boxes. For her exhibition at The Hepworth Wakefield Linder will employ collage as two-dimensional prints and three-dimensional light-box sculptures. Drawing on Linder’s research into Barbara Hepworth the new works will combine images of ballerinas from the 1970s with natural forms; making reference to Hepworth’s love of dance, and her engagement with the landscape.
