Clerkwell design week

I took a few hours out this week to see what Clerkwell design week had to offer, there were some great furniture and design ideas to be seen, I really must emphasise what an amazing event this is,  the organisation and layout of the areas are 1st class nowhere else have I been that showcases the full spectrum of design elements from the small details such as tiles and handles through to furniture and lighting.

Botanics

Few days at the warehouse prepping for the upcoming installs, I'm super excited for this one. My first fully designed, sourced and styled project.

Nice to spot one of the limited edition yellow Boris Bikes while out for lunch in London Bridge.

Sunday sunday

Belly Pork sunday lunch at the owl and pussycat this week. Tasty and a nice change from all the hotdogs, burgers and diner options that seems to be flooding the market presently.

Living for the weekend

Birthday treats

The Mr turned 35 this week (shhhh! I promised i wouldnt tell) the upsides of getting old are being treated to a saturday brunch at Hoi Poloi, this little beauty is cleverly tucked away in the Ace hotel Shoreditch.

The Atmosphere was brilliant, especially once the live strings started playing with a unique set arranged by xavier.

Breakfast arrived and I was not dissapointed, sausage, mushrooms bacon, potato farl, and black pudding all topped off with a pouched egg. Great quality and top notch service......Im already planning a second visit!

Dreaming of a Holiday....

Work has been so busy recently I dont know where my time has gone, luckily its time to start planning in some summer sun.

First things first I need to get myself one of these amazing airbeds!

Spaceship landing

The olympic park opened its gates to the public this weekend, with the sun shining down it seemed like the perfect oppurtunity to pack a picnic and set out exploring.

The stadium itself is currently closed for refurbishement but the grounds are great for a summer stroll.

Happy Easter all!

Old skool

Stepping back in time in true style this weekend at the o2 arena in greenwich. Wearing my blow up backpack, black choker necklace and some decidedly vampish lipstick I was more than ready to  relive my youth watching All saints and backstreet boys Live.

Despite any reservations I may have had before I arrived, the night was a true hit.

Back to school

Heading to chelsea school of art this week to get some vectorworks training, all is working out well so far, the programme is easy to pick up and the course appears to be covering all the areas I hoped. Being located right next door to the Tate Britain is also a perk!

Prototypes

Plenty of fun in the office recently having some prototypes made for out social media friends, heres one of the first samples to arrive. Eeeek exciting.

Friday

Lust!

I would love this zoffany print sofa in my life!

Saturday

Sneaking back to Yorkshire

A client meeting allowed for a sneaky visit back to yorkshire this week. Sheffield was the destination and we were taken to see some lovely sites of the yorkshire/ derbyshire countryside.

Home event Earls court

This week saw Earls court host the craft, top drawer and home event for 2014. A mecca for interior designers, buyer and crafts persons alike. Not dissapointed there was a multitude of exciting finds. I picked a few new contacts to take back to the office and start purchasing from.

Korean cuisine.

A night at the theatre allowed for a change in cuisine last week, after a few to many japaneses and gormet burgers Bip Bim Bap turned out to be a great choice for a quick pre performance dinner. These stone bowls arrive at your table sizzling hot creating lovely crispy rice on the outside of the bowl and soft fluffy rice in the centre all mixed in with whatever other ingredients take your fancy. Luckily we managed to get in before hw rush to get a table , the service was quick but the queue was heading out the door when we left at 7pm. Get there early guys!

Best biscuits ever!!
